GETTING UP FROM A CHAIR

Look around you, most people get up from chairs by leaning the torso forward away from the back of the chair until the center of gravity is over their feet and then stand up without using their core muscles (recall the transverse abdominis and pelvic floor muscles?). This puts extreme stress on the lower back causing inflammation and pain.

In this video you’ll learn how to safely get up from a chair without putting any stress on your back.

After practicing getting out of chair, teach your skills to your loved ones.
